It was an honor to be a part of the extremely informative town-hall meeting organized by the Georgian Heritage Foundation between Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Erika Olson and the Georgian Diaspora.
As the Consulate General of Georgia in San Francisco, we are committed to supporting the Georgian Diaspora and look forward to continuing our efforts to strengthen the relationship between Georgia and the United States.
During the town-hall meeting DAS Olson covered questions within the framework of the four priority areas in the bilateral Georgian American relations:
1. Democracy
2. Defense and Security
3. Economic, Trade, and Energy Issues
4. People-to-people and Cultural Exchanges
DAS Olson oversees policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus, she previously served as the Director for Regional Political-Military Affairs in Europe guiding U.S. participation at NATO and The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
